Grow something was established with a vision to reduce our city’s carbon emission. There are thousands of ways to lighten one’s carbon footprint, we chose urban farming because this is the passion of our founders. Our founders met on an organic farm in Hong Kong and became best friends. They realised although land is so expensive in Hong Kong, there are still idle space, such as rooftops and podiums of commercial and industrial buildings, residential buildings, and public space. They want to make these space green with not only ornamental plants, but also fresh organic vegetables that could benefit the community. In order to do that, they started Grow Something to tell more people about the possibilities and advantages of growing their own vegetables at home.
